Large utility is looking for a Gas Construction Manager in Armada Township, MI. The Construction Manager role requires a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience and proficiency in Michigan Gas Safety Code/Federal Part 192 to oversee site safety, budgets, and schedules while leading on-site teams and managing technical project close-out documentation. responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage project safety, scope, cost, and schedule throughout the construction phase.
- Lead all project team members and contractors assigned to the construction site.
- Facilitate pre-construction meetings to communicate safety protocols and schedule recommendations to the Project Manager.
- Oversee both pre-fabrication and on-site construction activities to manage quality and risk.
- Provide daily progress reports to the Project Manager and supervise contract inspectors.
- Resolve technical, material, and scheduling conflicts to keep the project on track.
- Coordinate equipment testing, start-up procedures, and the development of final punch lists.
- Obtain official project sign-offs and turn over documentation to Field Leaders and Operations.
- Manage the submission of as-built redline drawings and emergency plan updates to Engineering and Gas Control.
- Compile and submit comprehensive project close-out documentation in a standardized format.
