Electrical Engineer opportunity with our client located in their Bohemia, NY office. This 6-month contract, with potential for permanent hire role will help with the development of a redisgned LED product line. Our client is looking for a collaborative professional who can seamlessly integrate with multidisciplinary teams to design and prototype next-generation medical devices. You will be responsible for the full design lifecycle, ensuring high-quality electronic solutions for the medical industry.

responsibilities:
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes for electronic devices, specifically focusing on a new LED product line.
- Ensure all designs meet strict safety and EMC standards, including IEC 60601-1 and 60601-1-2.
- Identify and diagnose hardware issues rapidly, providing modifications to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Prepare detailed design documents, including BOMs, test plans, and maintenance guides for all electronic assemblies.
- Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to create finished, integrated products.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a grasp of analog and digital circuit design.
- Approximately 4 or more years of experience in PCB design, specifically utilizing Altium or ORCAD software.
- Proven experience with small power delivery systems. LED design, and lithium-powered or battery-operated devices is helpful.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and hands-on PCB rework using soldering stations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to function effectively as a key collaborator within a team setting
