A Quality Control Inspector is needed for an energy equipment manufacturing and services company in the Parsippany, NJ area. This role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience to inspect machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision tools and X-ray equipment on the 2nd shift.

responsibilities:
Inspection and Measurement:
- Inspect machined work pieces to ensure they meet all design specifications.
- Interpret and follow written inspection instructions, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Measure dimensions like length, height, and distance using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and optical comparators.
- Utilize advanced measuring equipment including X-Y-Z machines and X-ray technology to verify product integrity.
- Use surface plates, angle plates, parallel bars, and gauge blocks to measure complex dimensions such as angles, arcs, and radii.
- Perform X-ray operations on incoming and in-process production parts.
- Conduct airflow tests as part of incoming and final inspection procedures.
- Inspect first-run, in-process, and final manufactured parts to maintain quality standards.
- Complete all necessary inspection forms, documentation, and reports accurately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience specifically in machine operation or quality control.
- Ability to work the 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:00 pm).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Availability to work overtime, including weekend shifts, as required.
- Willingness to consistently wear personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
Technical and Mental Skills:
- strong reading comprehension to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions for multiple assembly and inspection tasks.
- Proficiency in working with computerized shop floor tools and systems.

- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing shop environment is highly preferred.
