We are seeking candidates who have Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering. Candidates will need 5+ years of health & safety experience in a manufacturing environment (fermentation, chemical, or industrial settings. Advanced OSHA and related regulatory frameworks experience is required along with an understanding of manufacturing processes - fermentation, utilities (steam, compressed air, CIP/SIP), chemical storage, and sanitation.

responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain site health & safety programs, ensuring full OSHA compliance and adherence to regulatory and company safety standards across all operations.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through regular floor presence, employee coaching, and reinforcement of safe work practices in fermentation, utilities, packaging, and sanitation areas.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks by conducting hazard assessments, JSAs, industrial hygiene monitoring, and leading incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage core safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Hazard Communication, Chemical Safety, PPE, Emergency Response, and Contractor Safety.
- Develop and deliver effective safety training for employees and contractors on chemical handling, equipment safety, emergency response, and GMP-related risk controls.
- Monitor, analyze, and report safety performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing continuous improvements to prevent injuries and enhance compliance.
