responsibilities:
- Perform NDT examinations including Radiography, Ultrasonic, Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Eddy Current testing.
- Conduct inspections at fossil generating plants, natural gas pipelines, and electric generation facilities.
- Evaluate test results against nationally accepted codes and technical specifications.
- Commit to extended out-of-town assignments throughout the state of Michigan.
- Work significant overtime as required to meet project deadlines and job commitments.
- Obtain and maintain certification as an industrial radiographer and in multiple NDT methods.
- Handle and operate high-energy radioactive isotopes safely and effectively.
- Maintain high productivity independently with a self-motivated approach to daily tasks.
- Adapt quickly to varying department needs and shifting project priorities.
- Demonstrate composure and technical proficiency during rigorous audits and certification testing.
- Solve technical problems related to inspection processes, specialized equipment, and NDT methods.
- Independent/ Self-motivated/ Sustained high productivity.
- Agility/ flexibility dependent upon varying department needs.
- Ability to maintain performance and composure during audits and technical certification testing.
