responsibilities:
- Integrate devices by configuring and connecting RTUs, PLCs, protective relays, meters, and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).
- Manage network design and connectivity for substation equipment using both serial and IP protocols.
- Develop and build prototypes to validate device integration and system performance before field deployment.
- Conduct comprehensive system testing to ensure hardware and software components function correctly together.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a specific emphasis on Access and Excel.
- Soft Skills: strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills.
- Experience in programming or configuring RTUs, regulators, or recloser controls.
- Familiarity with industry communication protocols, specifically DNP3 (Serial/IP).
- Knowledge of IEC-61131 programming standards.
- Advanced programming skills in high-level languages such as VB.NET.
