An Associate Engineer-Electrical is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience which involves preparing complex engineering calculations and deliverables, researching equipment selections, while adhering to strict budget, schedule, and quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Function as a technical specialist under general supervision while building expertise on complex assignments.
- Prepare a variety of increasingly sophisticated engineering deliverables following standard methods.
- Conduct research and develop technical recommendations for equipment and material selection.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and manage data collection for various work packages.
- Adhere strictly to project budgets, schedules, and defined quality requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of departmental design guides, engineering codes, and company policies.
- Define and resolve technical problems within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Coordinate with project leadership and multi-disciplinary teams on design details.
- Communicate regularly with external clients to understand their interests and business drivers.
- Support business development and project pursuit activities as skills progress.
- Actively mentor junior staff and assist with performance management and corrective actions.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
- Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
