A Lead Software Engineer is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. Principal-level lead managing technical strategy, governance, and code for enterprise AI dev tools.

responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Own architecture and strategy for AI Dev Tooling and platform standards.
- Innovation: Lead PoCs for background agents, Claude Code analysis, and BYOM pathways.
- Tooling & Automation: Design SCIM integrations for Cursor, license management, and Backstage plugins.
- Governance: Act as squad lead for GitHub initiatives, managing vendor roadmaps and SOX audits.
- Engineering: Code in TypeScript and backend services while maintaining Selenium-based automation.
- Collaboration: Guide internal teams on security, CI/CD, and SDLC optimization.
- 10+ years of software engineering with demonstrated principal-level leadership.
- Expert in GitHub administration, automation, and enterprise governance.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and platform engineering.
- strong skills in stakeholder communication and translating technical concepts.
- Preferred: Experience with Backstage, identity management, and inner-source models.
- Preferred: Business or financial background (e.g., MBA) for vendor management.
