The ideal candidate will have previous service management experience and a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering. responsibilities:
- Define and execute business plans to achieve corporate KPIs, including targets for growth, profitability, and efficiency.
- Manage a technical service department of 8 direct reports, including both in-house and field service personnel across the US and Canada.
- Act as a key liaison between clients and the organization to resolve high-level service issues
- Compile and analyze product service data to provide feedback to manufacturing for equipment improvement and future product development.
- Implement and manage the calibration of testing equipment in accordance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Develop continuous service training programs and foster a knowledge-sharing culture within the team.
- Participate in the implementation of global ERP service solutions and contribute to global best practices.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum requirement of an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in service management and previous "hands-on" field service engineering.
- Excellent communication skills required
- strong technical knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems (BAAN preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally within North American and overseas.
- Experience with ISO/ASTM standards and equipment safety standards (UL, CSA) preferred.
