A Facilities Mechanical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This role will act as the client's technical representative, overseeing the design, specification, and construction of complex chemical and mechanical facilities systems for semiconductor manufacturing.

responsibilities:
- Review and provide technical feedback on designs, specifications, and drawings for ultrapure water, chemical, and gas distribution systems.
- Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for complex manufacturing tools and infrastructure.
- Oversee the design of piping for wastewater, process chemicals, and gasses within dense industrial environments.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and component selection for new builds and retrofits.
- Edit client specifications and standards to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
- Review P&IDs, layout drawings, equipment plans, vendor submittals, and RFIs.
- Interface directly with client personnel and multi-disciplinary teams to drive the design review process.
- Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University.
- At least 2 years of practical application of chemical/mechanical facilities engineering, including ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, tank storage/design and related chemical/mechanical facilities systems.
- At least 1 year of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms.
- EIT or PE license.
