An Environmental Coordinator is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Battle Creek, MI area. This role will support the implementation of environmental and safety programs by managing compliance data, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all project activities meet regulatory and company standards.

responsibilities:
- Help develop and execute the environmental components of the company's ES&H program and Management System.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, legal regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments.
- Assist in creating and maintaining procedures to protect employee health and the surrounding environment.
- Manage ES&H databases, including the tracking of incidents, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Analyze environmental data to identify performance trends and factors for continuous improvement.
- Lead risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for moderately complex environmental issues.
- Prepare technical reports, program documentation, and communications for records retention.
- Support incident notifications, investigations, and comprehensive reporting processes.
- Recommend process improvements to minimize hazards and environmental impact.
- Ability to research and comprehend organizational and regulatory requirements.?
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing abilities.
- Computer skills for preparing presentations, data management, and report preparation.
- Knowledge of environmental management, monitoring programs, principles, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and applicable agencies' permitting processes and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of engineering, construction, and subcontract work processes.?
- Typically a University Hire.
- With 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
