Our client is seeking a Revit savvy Electrical Engineer with a valid P.E. license! The right candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a design lead for electrical building systems used in commercial and industrial buildings, specifically the designing of mixed use retail space, other commercial buildings and warehouse/distribution centers.
This person will serve as the Engineer of Record, manage the full design lifecycle-from initial single-lines and lighting photometrics through to Construction Administration. responsibilities:
- Lead small to medium projects (or major portions of large-scale developments) independently. You will be responsible for the full design lifecycle, including Single-Line Diagrams, Panel Schedules, and Fault Current Calculations.
- Act as a technical lead in Revit (and AutoCAD). You should be proficient enough to train staff on company standards, drafting techniques, and technical electrical design.
- Independently select lighting systems and controls. You must have a strong grasp of photometric calculations and a thorough understanding of how to apply energy codes with minimal oversight.
- Direct and mentor a production team (1-5 staff) to deliver high-quality construction documents. You will perform high-level Quality Control (QC) to ensure all output meets HFA and NEC standards.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and architects. You will handle Construction Administration (CA) functions and write technical specifications tailored to specific project types.
- B.S.E.E. degree with minimum of 5+ years of design experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) capable of serving as Engineer of Record.
- High proficiency in Revit is essential
- Proven track record in Commercial, C-Store, Industrial, or Warehouse project types.
- Expertise in NEC and national electrical standards.
- strong communication skills with the ability to act as an "Expert" in both internal and external design sessions.
- Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects while collaborating effectively with internal architects and external clients.
