An Assistant Superintendent is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the Lexington, KY area. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible to implement and oversee building projects that support our site operations. This role serves as a vital liaison between field activities and project management, ensuring all construction scheduling and communication remains seamless.
Candidates must have over 10+ years of experience in industrial or commercial construction along with an OSHA 30 certification. Proficiency in technical drawing reviews and the physical ability to navigate a large manufacturing plant, including ascending stairs and roofs, is essential. Competency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is highly preferred. This is a long-erm contract role, slated to last at least 12 months with potential for extension. No travel would be expected for this role.

responsibilities:
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure all work meets specific project drawings and quality standards
- Manage construction schedules and coordinate weekend or shutdown work plans with contractors and facility shops
- Handle Request for Information (RFI) and Construction Change Request (CCR) support to keep projects moving forward
- Partner with vendors to coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and precise scheduling
- Generate and manage project estimates, material procurement, and purchase orders as required
- Act as the primary point of contact between on-site field crews and the broader project management team
