Our client is a prominent provider of specialized commercial building solutions and renovation services. They are currently seeking a mid-level Estimator to join their growing pre-construction department in a role that focuses on commercial renovations, restorations, and specialized structural interior systems. While the current project portfolio typically ranges from $80,000 to $2 million, the company is actively diversifying its project types to include more complex building structures.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate has at least two years of estimating experience specifically within a commercial General Contractor environment. You must be comfortable producing accurate estimates even when design information is limited and possess a comprehensive understanding of commercial construction sequencing and methods. Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Xactimate is required, along with advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of current building codes and an OSHA 30 certification are preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position that offers the opportunity to work on a national scale while gaining exposure to diverse commercial projects.

responsibilities:
- In this role, you will be responsible for preparing independent project estimates, including conceptual budgets, ROMs, and square-foot pricing.
- The position involves performing detailed quantity takeoffs from both completed construction documents and early-stage narratives or partial drawings.
- You will also participate in value engineering, cost modeling, and the identification of long-lead materials such as structural steel and MEP equipment.
- You will assist in vetting subcontractors and expanding a national vendor network to support procurement strategies and ensure competitive bidding.
