responsibilities:
- Execute primary (outdoor) physical substation design and required studies for electric utilities-specifically PG&E-and renewable energy power plants.
- Produce power single-line drawings, substation plans, elevation diagrams, and general arrangement layouts.
- Create detailed erection drawings and layouts for high-voltage bus, equipment, conduit, cables, auxiliary power, grounding, and control buildings.
- Apply North American high-voltage guidelines (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC) and local Grid Codes for the safety, sizing, and integration of both AIS and GIS equipment.
- Utilize your Professional Engineering (PE) license to actively review, approve, and seal your own work as well as the work of others under your supervision.
