We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineer for our manufacturing client. In this role, you will drive the next generation of production capabilities by designing, programming, and deploying advanced automated and mechatronic systems. You'll blend hands-on engineering with system integration to improve safety, productivity, and reliability across operations.

responsibilities:
- Work with PLCs: troubleshoot, modify programs, and program from scratch
- Participate in commissioning activities
- Serve as technical POC throughout the plant regarding industrial automation
- Mentor and informally lead electrical and mechanical Technicians on technical issues
- BS Electrical Engineering or related, equivalent experience to be considered
- PLC troubleshooting and program modification experience required
- Experience programming PLCs from scratch desired
- Ability to work independently with a large team mentality
- strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
