Our client is seeking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Richmond, VA. Join Our Client, an energy powerhouse helping generate ~30% of the world's electricity! We need a pro with a Mechanical Engineering BS, 5+ years steam turbine experience, and 2+ years field execution to lead complex repairs and outage planning.

responsibilities:
- Provide technical recommendations and guidance to field engineers, service managers, and customers during the planning and execution of turbine outages.
- Serve as the technical lead and primary interface for complex service center repairs on steam turbine components like rotors, diaphragms, casings, and valves.
- Act as a Project Engineering Manager to deliver steam turbine projects on time, utilizing lean methodologies to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost continuous improvement.
- Lead product qualification processes, resolve non-conformances through root cause analysis, and advise parts engineering teams on product design form, fit, and function.
- Partner with global design engineering teams, sales directors, and service centers to deliver reliable solutions, while guiding and mentoring less experienced team members.
