responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive estimates for heavy civil and marine projects by creating work breakdown structures, calculating scope take-offs, and determining indirect field and owner costs.
- Review design documents, specifications, drawings, and attend development meetings to accurately evaluate project risks and cost implications.
- Evaluate contractor proposals across alternative delivery procurements, validate change orders, and assist contracts staff with subcontractor statements of work.
- Interface directly with external clients to effectively present capital costs and actively participate in necessary project meetings.
- Keep highly organized and detailed project files, records, and logs throughout the estimating and construction processes.
