In this essential role, you will bridge the gap between our manufacturing floor and the finish line by coordinating the complex logistics of transporting heavy concrete enclosures and electrical substations. We are seeking a proactive communicator who is comfortable navigating spreadsheets and satellite imagery to solicit vendor quotes, compare transport costs, and ensure our oversized products reach their destinations safely and on time. responsibilities:
- Review and analyze shipment specifications including dimensions, weight, and geographic details for concrete enclosures.
- Input and maintain accurate project data within internal tracking systems and spreadsheets.
- Distribute requests for quotes to specialized carriers, rigging firms, and crane service providers.
- Proactively monitor the status of pending quotes to ensure all pricing is received on schedule.
- Aggregate and compare pricing from various vendors to determine the most cost-effective transport solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all vendor communications, project details, and historical pricing.
- Perform basic route assessments using satellite imagery and mapping tools to identify potential transport issues.
- Communicate professionally with external partners through consistent email and phone correspondence.
- Coordinate multiple logistics tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict project deadlines.
