Project Manager opportunity to support $6M in packaging line automation upgrades split between this client's Houston, TX at 75 percent and High Point, NC at 25 percent plant locations. Open to any engineering discipline, this site-heavy role focuses on evolving semi-automated packaging lines to fully automated systems. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in the coatings or food and beverage industries.

responsibilities:
- Lead the transition of packaging operations from semi-automated to fully automated systems, leveraging IoT automation design to optimize plant efficiency.
- Direct the preparation and execution of capital projects, managing a $4 million scope in Houston and a $2 million scope in High Point.
- Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive Basic Engineering Packages (BEP) and Detailed Engineering Packages, driving accurate cost estimation and timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement to establish contracting models, evaluate technical supplier bids, issue purchase requisitions, and manage external engineering teams.
- Maintain a heavy on-site presence split between the Texas and North Carolina facilities to deliver engineering solutions, monitor project health, and manage safety risks.
