A Construction Quality Engineer is needed for a leading construction organization outside of Columbus, Ohio. The Construction Quality Engineer will manage the overall project quality program and oversee daily quality procedures. In this role, you will work directly with operations, clients, designers, and third-party agents to manage complex quality trades and processes. By balancing office-based documentation with rigorous field inspections, you will actively mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with all standards.
Candidates must possess 3+ years of management or field-focused construction experience on projects of a similar size and complexity. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, is preferred. Applicants must be proficient in QA/QC systems, blueprint reading, and construction platforms such as Bluebeam, BIM360, and Smartsheet.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with field and office staff to align the inspection process with critical commissioning and energization dates
- Create, document, and distribute all administrative checklists, inspection reports, and project meeting minutes
- Participate in trade pre-installation meetings and engage in the submittal review process to identify quality concerns before construction begins
- Manage and Resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), deficiency logs, completion lists, and punch lists using designated tracking software
- Execute field inspections with trade partners, review mock-ups with clients and architects, and conduct daily quality field walks
