You will lead hands-on metallurgical expertise within the laboratory, leading failure analysis investigations, developing root cause and implementing corrective actions, provide engineering support and operate on equipment. With a BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or related, 8+ years of experience, and backgound in metal materials. responsibilities:
- Conduct failure analysis investigations, root cause analysis and implement corrective / preventative actions
- Operate metallurgical equipment within the lab, evaluating mechanical properties and characterizing steels, and other alloy systems
- Subject matter expert on metallurgical and materials support for cross-functional teams
- Manage and mentor laboratory technicians and junior staff
- BS Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or similar
- 8+ years experience in metallurgy laboratory
- Metallic, super alloys experience
- Ability to travel 15%
