responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials to maintain targeted inventory levels using Just in Time and Economic Order Quantities purchasing strategies.
- Create and maintain bills of material and parts or commodities numbers within enterprise-wide supply chain management systems.
- Ensure all material standards are strictly met, resolve any discrepancies, and minimize or manage non-conformances.
- Develop specifications for new contract orders, gather quotations, examine bids, and award supplier contracts.
- Monitor subcontract costs, schedules, and scope while continually evaluating vendor reliability and proactively developing new, competitive supply sources.
