responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Construct complex patterns, molds, tooling, fixtures, and templates from blueprints, models, and engineering drawings
- Determine parting lines, draft angles, radii, fillets, and mold design requirements
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to prepare files and program CNC equipment
- Set up and operate a variety of machining equipment including CNC machines, mills, lathes, drills, and related shop equipment
- Perform precision fitting, sanding, grinding, and finishing of tooling components
- Build and modify tooling to meet engineering and production requirements
- Monitor tooling performance and perform repairs or modifications as needed
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Mentor and assist less experienced team members
- Completion of a Pattern Maker Apprenticeship
- Minimum 5 years of Pattern Making experience
- blueprint reading and shop math skills
- Experience with CNC machining and CAD/CAM software
- Ability to independently plan and execute complex tooling projects

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Trade School education or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred
