responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation
- Select proper tooling, fixturing, and machining parameters
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments to improve quality and efficiency
- Perform machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
- Mentor and assist less experienced machinists when needed
- Minimum 7 years of CNC machining experience
- setup and operation experience with CNC machining centers
- Ability to optimize machining processes and improve cycle times
- Experience editing CNC programs and basic macros
- troubleshoot and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- High School Diploma or GED
