responsibilities:
- Lead automation projects from concept to repeatable production for processes like sanding, trimming, and material handling.
- Evaluate, source, and integrate industrial robot arms, end-of-arm tooling, sensors, and safety controls.
- Program complex robot motion paths and optimize tool speed, contact pressure, and cycle times.
- Design, fabricate, and test prototype automation cells and custom part-holding fixtures on the shop floor.
- Support large-format 3D printing and 5-axis milling operations while troubleshooting equipment issues.
