Growing manufacturer in St. Louis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their team. This position will support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of electromechanical systems, as well as assisting with new product development and improvements. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, proficiency with Solidworks PDM and at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with electric motors or similar systems highly preferred.

responsibilities:
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements.
- Develop test procedures, support specialized motor testing activities, and prepare technical reports.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements.
- Support compliance with customer requirements and military standards
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 1-3 years of engineering experience.
- Basic understanding of electric motors or electromechanical systems.
- Experience with Solidworks and Solidworks PDM.
- Experience supporting new product development
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
