responsibilities:
- Prepare and optimize samples for experimentation, including precision wafer cleaving, coating, and crafting TEM lamellas using focused ion beam (FIB) tools.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced metrology equipment (SEM, FIB, TEM), handling routine calibrations, plasma cleaning, and system recovery.
- Manage laboratory job queues and workflows, tracking equipment performance while strictly adhering to safety procedures and standard operating protocols.
- Collaborate with engineers and requestors to define project requirements, optimize image quality conditions, and clearly communicate analytical results.
- Apply analytical problem-solving skills to resolve atypical equipment or process issues, continuously documenting lessons learned to improve lab throughput and reduce redo rates.
