Manufacturer in the Cape Girardeau/Sikeston area is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager for a first shift position. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with fast moving consumer goods required as well as at least 3 years of management or supervisory experience. Experience with process engineering and ammonia refrigeration highly preferred. Will relocate for the right candidate. Excellent bonus and benefits.

responsibilities:
- Oversee all production and facility maintenance operations to ensure asset reliability, maximum uptime, and adherence to engineering and maintenance standards
- Manage all Process Safety Management requirements for complex utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration, steam, electrical, and other high-hazard systems.
- Lead preventive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement Manufacturing System practices
- Direct a proactive safety culture, fully implementing site Safety, Health, and Environmental programs while ensuring strict compliance with OSHA, GMP, and internal standards
- Manage parts room operations, inventory optimization, and maintenance cost control in alignment with manufacturing work processes.
- Support Capital Expenditure Request (CER) development, long-term infrastructure planning, and the execution of site transformation initiatives.
- Serve as a culture leader to build an inclusive, empowered environment, directly overseeing Engineering Supervisors and maintenance personnel while collaborating with cross-functional partners
- Directly manage a team of 6 employees
- B.S. in Engineering
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience
- strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing systems
- Experience with refrigeration systems preferred
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and OSHA requirements
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
