Join Our Client as a Controls Automation Engineer in Lenexa, KS a top 3 R&D investor in Life Science Tools! We need a pro with an Engineering BS, 3-5 years of industrial controls experience, and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC mastery to optimize our production.

responsibilities:
- Lead automation projects from concept through handover, maintaining and optimizing Rockwell Automation PLC programs and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Provide critical on-site troubleshooting for control system faults, instrumentation issues, and electrical failures to minimize production downtime.
- Partner with process engineers to implement advanced control strategies that maximize throughput, safety, and product quality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (P&IDs, schematics) while ensuring strict adherence to NFPA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
- Conduct routine control system audits to drive preventative maintenance, and train maintenance technicians and operators on basic system troubleshooting.
