responsibilities:
- Lead capital engineering projects from initiation through completion ("cradle to grave"), taking full ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety performance across facilities in the Denver Region.
- Conduct regular field visits to power plants to monitor progress, oversee execution, conduct vendor/shop inspections, and witness equipment testing for critical components such as protection relays, GSUs, transformers, and motors.
- Coordinate key procurement activities-including hiring engineering consultants, managing contractors, and ordering materials/equipment-while enforcing contract compliance across all vendors and suppliers.
- Review, validate, and support engineering drawings, technical design documentation, and project justifications to ensure solutions align with operational needs and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including operations, environmental, sourcing, project controls, and engineering-to align stakeholders and ensure smooth project transition to operations.
