A Contract HSE Manager is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the southern Atlanta metro area. The HSE Manager will lead the plant's safety, occupational health, and environmental compliance programs across manufacturing processes and waste management. In this role, you will serve as the primary site contact for regulatory visits and drive accountability for all facility health and safety standards. You will also oversee emergency management programs while leading site safety initiatives to foster a culture of total compliance.
Candidates must hold a degree in HSE Engineering, Science, or Management, or possess professional certifications such as a CSP, CIH, or CHMM. A minimum of 5+ years of site-level experience managing a comprehensive HSE program in a manufacturing environment is required.
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and specialized automated machinery safety standards (ANSI, RIA, PMMI) is essential. This role is slated to last through mid to late September and out client is only seeking local talent at this time.

responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HSE regulatory visits, inspections, and mandatory compliance reporting
- Conduct facility inspections and job hazard assessments across production and warehousing, tracking corrective actions to closure
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and the implementation of systemic preventive countermeasures
- Direct site Emergency Management & Response (EMS) and Business Continuity (BCP) plans
- Develop and deliver site training programs, including new-hire onboarding, task certifications, and annual refresher courses
- Drive site HSE targets by benchmarking performance metrics, sustainability reporting, and regulatory updates
