We are searching for a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Validation Engineer in the Raleigh, NC area to work at an industry leading manufacturing company. Candidates are required to have experience with either OPAL-RT or Typhoon platforms, with OPAL-RT being the preferred system. The position requires familiarity with power electronics, specifically basic topology and firmware, to support control engineers.
This is a contract position expected to last a year and could be longer.

responsibilities:
- Setup, integration, maintenance, and validation of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems used for the development and verification of power electronics, energy storage, and control systems.
- Work closely with controls, firmware, system, and hardware engineering teams to develop HIL models, configure test environments, automate test execution, and support product verification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with HIL platforms (e.g., OPAL-RT), test automation, and hardware/software integration.
