Our client is seeking an Engineering IT Support Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of their on-site IT infrastructure. This is an active, fully hands-on role responsible for server rooms, local networks, enterprise Wi-Fi, Linux workstations, cabling, and facility technology and equipment.

responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain high-performance Linux workstations, OS builds, and developer test rigs for cloud and robotics teams.
- Administer local switches, subnets, VLANs, and DHCP scope allocations to ensure seamless IP routing and zero-downtime connectivity.
- Deploy, optimize, and maintain enterprise Wi-Fi Access Points (APs) to support mobile dev devices, test hardware, and autonomous robotic platforms operating across the facility.
- Organize server racks, maintain UPS power systems, oversee environmental monitoring, and ensure clean, structured cabling standards across all lab and office spaces.
- Manage lab hardware inventories, coordinate procurement, track assets, and handle onboarding/offboarding hardware setups for engineering staff.
- Provide hands-on facility technology support
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration, Lab Operations, or Network Support in a business environment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Practical experience supporting Linux desktops, core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP), enterprise Wi-Fi deployment, and structured cabling/server rack management.
- Practical experience with core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP), wireless access point deployment, and structured cabling/server rack management.
- Hands-on knowledge of woking wtih physical security technologies
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation, vendor manuals, and industry publications.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical engineering staff and non-technical users.
