An Engineering Technical Writer is leading for an industrial OEM near Loganville, GA. The Engineering Technical Writer will resolve critical project bottlenecks and streamline technical package creation for engineered equipment solutions. The technical writer will work on backlogs of engineering submittal packages, submittal responses, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals. In this role, you will create high-quality documentation workflows.
Candidates should possess 2+ years of experience creating technical documentation, submittal packages, and O&M manuals for manufacturing or industrial process equipment. Proficiency in technical writing, reviewing P&IDs and engineering drawings, and managing project documents in PDF/ERP tools is required. This is a contract role slated to last 12+ months with the potential of converting to a full-time role. Our client is only seeing local talent currently.

- Compile, organize, and finalize detailed engineering submittal packages and submittal response documents for active client projects
- Assemble comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) packages, equipment data sheets, and operational guides
- Standardize documentation templates and workflows to eliminate project bottlenecks and reduce reliance on offshore resources
- Partner with engineering and project management teams to gather technical specifications and verify drawing accuracy
- Systematically organize and prioritize pending deliverables to eliminate documentation backlogs and maintain revision control
- Audit technical deliverables, P&IDs, and customer-facing documents to guarantee compliance with engineering standards and client specifications
