Our client is hiring a Virtual Design & Construction Manager to help build and lead its VDC operation in the Indianapolis market. This role will oversee VDC processes, coordinate and manipulate 3D construction models, and partner with project teams, subcontractors, and field operations while helping establish and grow a local VDC team.
The team is seeking an experienced VDC professional with a commercial construction background who combines hands-on modeling capabilities with the ability to lead and develop others. responsibilities:
- Lead and build Messer's VDC team in Indianapolis.
- Develop, coordinate, review, and manipulate 3D construction models.
- Coordinate BIM/VDC efforts with project teams, subcontractors, designers, and field operations.
- Support model-based estimating, field layout, reality capture, and other VDC technologies.
- Establish VDC best practices while providing technical support and team leadership.
- 3+ years of VDC/BIM experience within commercial construction; 5+ years preferred.
- Hands-on experience manipulating 3D models using Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, or similar.
- Associate degree or higher with demonstrated leadership/team-building capabilities.
