A Construction Field Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization. The Construction Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing field construction, general contractors, and subcontractor activities for major facility projects. In this role, you will manage project budgets, schedules, site safety compliance, and cross-functional communications between owners, contractors, and architectural/engineering firms. You will drive projects from on-site execution through commissioning, punch-list resolution, and final facility closeout.
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of construction project management experience within a manufacturing or industrial plant. A degree is preferred. Proficiency in construction software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Autodesk Build, and AutoCAD are essential. This is a long-term contract role slated to last several years, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

responsibilities:
- Direct general contractor and subcontractor field activities, ensuring strict compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes
- Review contractors change orders, validate scope and costs, and generate daily status reports to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Facilitate seamless coordination between the owner, contractors, and A/E firms while managing RFIs, submittals, and shop drawing reviews
- Enforce rigorous site safety requirements and compliance standards to maintain an incident-free working environment
- Lead acceptance testing, punch-list execution, startup activities, and the final handover of as-builts and O&M manuals to operational teams
