Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer in Columbus, OH to lead conceptual design efforts and manage high-performing engineering teams. In this role, you will oversee complex data center projects, mentor a team of 5-10 engineers, and ensure technical standards are executed flawlessly across all phases of design and construction.

responsibilities:
- Lead conceptual design and perform complex engineering calculations for large-scale data center projects.
- Direct and mentor a team of 5 to 10 engineers, setting objectives and ensuring technical design standards are met.
- Serve as the primary design expert in project team meetings and collaborate closely with interdepartmental teams.
- Prepare preliminary redline design layouts for project estimation and support bidding processes.
- Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with construction documents and resolve design challenges during construction.
