Our client is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead, design, and engineer mechanical building systems ranging from new design/build projects to facility rehabilitations. You will oversee complex design layouts, perform technical system calculations, and guide junior engineering staff. This pivotal role offers direct involvement across all project phases while driving technical excellence and high-quality system execution.

responsibilities:
- Lead conceptual design, project team meetings, and complex preliminary design layouts for estimations.
- Perform complex engineering calculations, including heating/cooling loads, equipment sizing, and hydraulic friction loss.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure construction compliance and resolve design issues during build phases.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers on HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing design production.
