responsibilities:
- Supplier Selection & Assessment: Assesses potential vendors to confirm technical capabilities, align on quality expectations via the Supplier Project Book, and manage the Approved Supplier List.
- NPI & APQP Execution: Leads Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) frameworks, line readiness assessments (LRA), and Part Submission Warrant deliverables during New Product Introduction.
- Quality Tooling & Compliance: Oversees core quality tools-including DFMAT, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, FAI, and Process Validation & Verification-to safeguard design and production integrity.
- Critical Parameter Communication: Bridges R&D and vendors through Design for Excellence (DfX) initiatives, enforcing strict compliance with Critical to Quality (CtQ) and Critical to Safety (CtS) metrics.
- Supplier Development & Corrective Action: Tracks ongoing supplier performance, drives APQP-focused capability improvements, investigates defect root causes, and manages Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
