A Maintenance Technician is needed for a leading specialty chemical manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for maintaining chemical processing equipment through predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operation. The technician will collaborate with operations teams to diagnose equipment failures and implement long-term mechanical repairs.
Applicants must have 3+ years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial or chemical processing plant. Mechanical skills paired with working knowledge of electrical systems and instrumentation are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate deep familiarity with Lockout/Tagout safety procedures and live within commutable distance to Kennesaw, GA. This is slated for a contract-to-direct hire role, and our client is only seeking local talent currently.

responsibilities:
- Perform daily predictive and preventative maintenance on chemical process machinery
- Diagnose root causes equipment failures alongside operations to build effective repair plans
- Execute multi-craft work orders to maintain continuous manufacturing up time
- Safely prepare and stage plant equipment for scheduled maintenance activities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical systems and instrumentation
- Engage in facility safety initiatives and identify continuous improvement opportunities
