A skilled Maintenance Technician with a millwright or heavy industrial electrical background is needed for a leading specialty chemical manufacturing organization. In this role, you will execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to maximize machine reliability and facility safety. You will partner with operations to troubleshoot complex mechanical breakdowns, repair power and control systems, and optimize continuous production uptime.
Candidates must possess 3+ years of heavy industrial or chemical processing plant maintenance experience, with proven expertise in mechanical millwrighting, electrical systems, or instrumentation. Deep technical knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety standards is essential. This is a local contract-to-direct hire opportunity for candidates residing within commuting distance of Kennesaw, GA.

responsibilities:
- Execute daily predictive and preventive maintenance on chemical process machinery, heavy pumps, drive systems, and rotating equipment
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical root causes alongside operations to develop precise, long-term repair solutions
- Perform multi-craft work orders, including mechanical alignment, rigging, and electrical system diagnostics, to ensure seamless plant operations
- Safely stage, isolate, and prepare heavy chemical equipment for scheduled overhauls using strict LOTO protocols
- Inspect, maintain, and repair plant electrical panels, instrumentation, automated controls, and continuous manufacturing systems
