responsibilities:
- Design custom mechanical components and accessories for machinery using SolidWorks 3D CAD as detailed in the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer files.
- Specify and integrate off-the-shelf items such as electric actuators, motors, and sensors into machine designs.
- Collaborate directly with applications engineers and shop floor personnel to complete projects from conceptualization through implementation.
- Leverage previous mechanical machine design experience, utilizing knowledge of Swiss type lathes, plastics, or stamping to fulfill functional requirements.
