We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator on behalf of our client to lead preconstruction efforts and oversee accurate cost forecasting for diverse commercial construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of everything from conceptual budgeting and quantity takeoffs to subcontractor bid leveling, proposal development, and project turnover. responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete and accurate project estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff and prepare estimates in Sage Estimating.
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure complete project coverage.
- Develop conceptual budgets, value engineering options, and cost analyses.
- Prepare professional proposals, bid clarifications, schedules, and supporting documentation.
qualifications:
5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, cost control, budgeting, and construction delivery methods (Lump Sum, CM, Design-Build, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, and BuildingConnected
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of construction trades, scheduling, contract review, and union labor requirements is preferred
