responsibilities:
- Coordinate all Product Engineering and Pro-Launch deliverables for vehicle launch programs utilizing DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, and DVP&R/PVP&R tools.
- Develop commercially viable design solutions for new product opportunities in evaporative emissions and vapor valve vehicular applications.
- Lead all phases of prototype development, including engineering analysis, design, component procurement, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams and external Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Support ongoing business initiatives, including cost-out programs, tool moves, continuing engineering, and warranty root-cause investigations.
qualifications:
Proven background in automotive product design and engineering, specifically within fuel and evaporative emission vapor valve systems.
Demonstrated experience managing vehicle launch deliverables and applying DFSS disciplines, DFMEA, and DVP&R methodologies.
Strong cross-functional communication and technical problem-solving skills to effectively interface with internal stakeholders, plants, and external customers.
