We are seeking a results-driven Shift Operations Manager to lead shop-floor operations within our manufacturing plant in the Mobile Alabama area. In this fast-paced operational role, you will direct crew activities to hit shift production targets safely and efficiently. You will bridge line operations and maintenance, drive continuous process improvement, enforce environmental health and safety standards, and develop high-performing production crews on a rotating shift schedule.

responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership & Crew Management: Direct daily shift activities for hourly employees. Assign work duties, manage crew scheduling, oversee timekeeping, and facilitate comprehensive shift handovers to maintain continuous operational flow.
- Safety & Workplace Standards: Drive a zero-incident safety culture by enforcing PPE protocols, conducting daily safety briefings, managing site housekeeping, and ensuring strict adherence to environmental and OSHA guidelines.
- Process Optimization & Maintenance Synergy: Partner closely with mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment downtime, streamline tap-to-tap times, and execute root-cause analysis (RCA) on process delays.
- Performance Management & Team Development: Coach and mentor direct reports, deliver required safety and technical training, address performance issues through progressive discipline, and cultivate strong potential successors within the operating crews.
- Administrative & Reporting Execution: Maintain accurate shift logs, record production metrics, document delay reports, and utilize enterprise software (SAP/Dayforce) for time tracking and operational monitoring.
