Summary Responsible for all production and packaging operations, including label verification, lot traceability, code dating, and CCP monitoring. Ensures a high-volume bakery meets all health, sanitation, and quality standards while hitting delivery deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shifts and arrange schedules to meet production needs and delivery times.
- Supervise, train, and develop staff on machinery safety and job responsibilities.
- Monitor productivity and implement changes to improve efficiency and OEE.
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, quality, and government regulations (GMP/OSHA).
- Enforce safety standards to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct coaching, counseling, and disciplinary sessions; communicate job expectations clearly.
- Identify bottlenecks in production and suggest/implement process improvements.
- Lead group meetings to communicate business rules, safety updates, and production goals.
- Knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety regulations.
- Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent conflict resolution and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
