Are you a technical specialist who excels at serving as the primary liaison between architectural design intent and the practical needs of the field and general contractor? Randstad is partnering with a premier Memphis-based contractor to expand their internal technical operations. This position requires a production-focused expert who can generate comprehensive AutoCAD shop drawings for metal and ACM wall systems while performing precise plan analysis to ensure all detailing aligns strictly with project specifications. If you have a minimum of three to five years of professional experience producing architectural shop drawings and a deep understanding of complex structural plans, please reach out to discuss.

Responsibilities

• Generate comprehensive AutoCAD shop drawings for metal and ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) wall systems.
• Perform plan analysis by reviewing and interpreting structural and architectural plans to ensure all detailing aligns strictly with project specifications.
• Generate specific shop drawing details for local fabricators to produce flashing pieces required for project completion.
• Facilitate project coordination by working in tandem with the project management team to ensure all submittals meet the architect’s intent. 
• Assist field installation teams by adjusting flashing and installation details as needed

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in AutoCAD with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience producing architectural shop drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
• Prior experience with ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panel systems.
• Associate’s or Technical degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered. 
• Experience using digital takeoff software such as PlanSwift, OST, or QuickBid and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
