About the Role As a Sourcing and Procurement Specialist, you will drive key purchasing activities, optimize vendor spend, and negotiate terms to support North American operations. You will build collaborative supplier relationships, ensure program compliance, and manage the full procure-to-pay lifecycle to keep projects running efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation (or 1+ year of experience with an MBA / Master’s degree).
- Hands-on experience executing purchase orders and managing vendor negotiations.
- Solid grasp of core procurement processes and vendor management.
- Hands-on experience using SAP or similar enterprise ERP software.
- strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with intermediate Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Ability to evaluate supplier technical capacity and onboard new vendors.
- Proven background handling expedite requests, tracking metrics, and conducting spend analysis.

Responsibilities
- Execute Sourcing Strategy: Conduct RFQs, negotiate competitive pricing and contract terms, and issue purchase orders across assigned projects.
- Manage Purchase Lifecycle: Oversee delivery timelines, update ERP records, resolve invoice or delivery issues, and coordinate with AP, logistics, and customs teams.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards for U.S. Government and defense-related projects.
- Optimize Operations & Cost: Analyze spend data, improve payment terms, reduce costs, and track performance metrics such as on-time delivery and savings.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with internal teams—including Engineering, Quality, and Finance—as well as external suppliers to solve disputes and drive key outcomes.
