Responsibilities
- Servicing the union membership by providing information and responding to member inquiries
- Handling a high volume of membership assessment calls and assisting member walk-ins
- Handling member issues/disputes and following through to resolution
- Reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling member accounts; researching and resolving account discrepancies
- Processing cash receipts and credit card transactions
- Review, reconcile and deposit cash receipt batches
- Perform credit card reconciliation and other AR reconciliations
- Assist Council Representatives on all assessment related matters, inquires
- Servicing contractors/employers by providing information and guidance on the dues check-off process, including researching/resolving remittance discrepancies
- Reviewing contractors/employers’ web check remittances
- Managing the assessment email account; ensuring response is timely and accurate
- Processing dues check-off authorization forms
- Perform other accounting responsibilities as assigned such as: AP processing/reporting and Bank Reconciliation
